Powerups are a subscription by subscription. When you purchase Powerups, your subscription is subject to the Reddit Premium and Virtual Goods Agreement (including renewal and cancellation terms). I would therefore propose an alternative: the terms of use should be as long as necessary, but they should provide an accessible summary for laypeople at the beginning, giving them reasonable insight into what they can and cannot do. This way, people can read the general content of the Terms of Service, but still have access to the exact terms when they need them – for example, if they have to sue a company for violating the Terms of Service. You can also give safes to other community members or give credits to the community for their contributions to the community. We may limit the number of Community Points you can donate or offer through the Services (for example, to mitigate violations of these Preview Terms), and you may be required to pay a blockchain network fee to tip or gift them. Reddit does not control blockchain network fees and does not facilitate the payment of blockchain network fees. Any payment of blockchain network fees by you through the Services will be processed by third-party payment service providers (each, a “PSP”), and your use of the Services offered by a PSP may be subject to separate legal terms and privacy policies. Reddit is not a party to your agreements with PSPs, and PSPs are responsible for complying with any regulatory requirements regarding your payment of blockchain network fees. You should read PSP`s legal terms and privacy policy carefully before using the services offered by PSP.
e. Powers of the arbitrator. The arbitrator will determine his or her jurisdiction and rights and obligations, as well as those of Snap, if any. The dispute will not be consolidated with other matters or related to other matters or parties. The arbitrator has the authority to grant claims that constitute a claim or dispute, in whole or in part. The arbitrator has the power to award damages and to award any non-monetary remedy or remedy available to a person under the law, the rules of the arbitral tribunal and the Terms. The arbitrator shall issue a written award and a statement of decision describing the principal findings and conclusions on which the award is based, including the calculation of damages awarded. The arbitrator has the same power to award relief on an individual basis as a judge of a court. The arbitrator`s decision will be final and binding on you and Snap.
Special memberships are a subscription membership. If you purchase a special subscription, your subscription is subject to the Reddit Premium and Virtual Goods Agreement (including renewal and cancellation terms). If you`re redeeming community credits for a special subscription, you can manage your subscription in the Special Membership tab of the subreddit. Purchasing a special membership or exchanging community credits for a special membership in a subreddit does not give you the right to post or comment on that subreddit. Participant subreddits are operated by moderators and your ability to post or comment on a post or comment or delete a post or comment is at the discretion of the moderator(s) of that subreddit. For the same reason, an employer cannot include a “you work for free if you don`t” clause in a contract. If a part of a contract is clearly intended to cause the person accepting it to give up their rights or property for no reason, or is contrary to an existing law, the person who signed it can take it to court, and a judge will find that those parts of the contract are not legally enforceable. If you purchase a collective avatar through a third-party payment processor (e.g., Apple, Google, Stripe, etc.), that purchase may be subject to that payment processor`s legal terms and privacy policies.
By making the purchase through the Services, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your specified payment method (e.g., credit or debit card) for the full amount of the purchase, inclusive of all taxes. For purchases made through a payment processor, your billing relationship is directly with that payment processor. Any fees charged for your collective avatar will be charged by the applicable payment processor using the payment method you provided to the payment processor. All purchases are final and non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law. As a group, terms and conditions are generally enforceable. However, some of their implementations may be declared inconclusive by a judge. A line that signs all your properties in a 50-page window will almost certainly be discarded. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated into these Terms by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to your access to and use of the Services. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
If any part of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the unenforceable part will be effective to the fullest extent possible and the remaining parts will remain in full force and effect. For any Content you submit to the Services, you grant Snap and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, cache, use, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, publish, analyze, transmit, and distribute such Content.
This license serves the operator, development, provision, promotion and improvement of services as well as research and development of new services. This license includes the right for us to make your Content available to service providers with whom we have a contractual relationship in connection with the provision of the Services solely for the purpose of providing those Services and assigning those rights to them.
